All my life I have enjoyed deeply connecting with people and expanding my understanding of how the human body works. But when my cousin was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, I witnessed firsthand how physical therapy can make an improvement on a person’s mobility, emotional wellbeing and overall quality of life. I realized this was my calling.
As a physical therapist, I help patients reduce pain, increase mobility, build strength and endurance, prepare for and recover from surgery, learn about their musculoskeletal conditions, and improve their posture. Shoulder pain, neck pain, back pain, tendinitis, sports injuries and overuse injuries are just some of the conditions I treat.
Unlike others in the field, I put an emphasis on hands-on physical therapy to provide pain-relieving treatments and show patients effective exercises. Physical therapy is a safe and effective alternative to harsh opioid medications. Whether we work together for just one session or on a regular basis, my goal is to get to know your health goals and help you feel your best.
My background:
I earned my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI. I then gained hands-on experience working in numerous physical therapy practice settings over the last six years, when I discovered that many people don’t have the time or ability to get to an outpatient clinic. I eventually made my way to sunny Ft. Myers, FL, to pursue my dream of offering concierge-style physical therapy services, which allow me the flexibility to give my patients as much one-on-one attention as they need and bring physical therapy into the comfort of their homes.
I am a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Home Health section of the APTA and the Orthopedic section of the APTA. On weekends, you can find me playing volleyball at the beach or paddle-boarding in the backwaters.
